The "Stick of Boom Mk I" - My First Cigar Box Bass Build
It would've been a shame not to incorporate making basses with this new therapeutic pastime of mine, right? So take a weird pull-off neck with a very baseball-bat-ish profile, and a shallow-but-long Man O' War Phalanx cigar box, and let's make this happen.
I had to pivot with some odd modifications/techniques, such as creating a riser for the bridge due to the very shallow box, and being very cautious about how to run the wiring around the cramped area, but it freakin' WORKS. I changed it up a bit on the second build (currently up for sale over at Audio Centro in Greenville, SC) to make it even more streamlined, but this one holds up well, and is owned by a member of one of my bands.
